once again apologies for my slack updating of this blog, but been busy all month.
First thing to do is congratulate a friend of ours Jake Cody on a STUNNING ept daueville win for 847,00EUR (£749k/$1.19m) not only is this a siiick result but his performance on the final table was epic and will defo be ranked as one of the best final performances we’ve seen in a mojor tourney for a long time. WP cody you rich lil fker!
Not the only greta piece of news for the weekend either as Jamie managed 3rd in GUKPT bolton for £19k – again another rele gd final table performance in a BRUTAL seat draw jamie sykes of early 2009 wud have bustoed 8th lol but this jamie sykes is gonna win a lot on money this yr IMHO – EPT COPENHAGEN1time?
makes me kinda pround seeing my mates doing so well when you think back to the two lil geeky kids playing at the nutz a yr or two back are now competing with the best players and winning – just goes to show all it takes is HARD WORK and a BIT OF GAMBOOOLE 
January been a pretty tough month for me, started out exceptionally…..but then we met the wrong side of varience and had a pretty nasty downswing which has stretched to about $8.5k now…..here is the graph, remembering the think green line is ALLinEV and the thick green line is $$$won….sigh

so we registered a loosing month on FTP by for $4029.
Luckily not all terrible as I managed +$1031 on cake and +£2k playing live at gala cash game and got about $1.4k rakeback for the month so could have been worse.
Played a great session at gala last night. Got to 6handed and I had a great seat so was really really in my element with all the stacks deep.

Its semi-tricky because my hand obviously plays terribly multi-way, spesh OOP. also its very hard for me to get the £££ in with tons of equity (i.e no1 shoves back AJ etc) I had seen the nit limp QQ behind a 3bet once before and the tilting shortstack could have anything rele as he was chasing pretty hard. Also Chris is so deep with me that obviously i cant get it in VS him and he doesnt really 3bet THAT much either so I have to give him credit for a strong hand.
Peeling the raise despite the fact im getting nearly 4-1 sucks imo because my hand plays terrible and im looking relaly to flop an A/Q and then it coudl still get messy vs Chris. However the desicion is made easier for me when the spewy player to my left callls out of turn and his call is forced to stay in the pot, now there is £140ish in the pot and I now know that spewy one wont shove. I can happilly call of the all-in from the shortstack and the nit is so likely to fold. so really it boils down to what range of hands CHRIS a) HAS, and b) will5bet shove/peel with. getting peeled in this spot is horribel so i have to price out any marginal calls. I think this deep chris’ calling/5bet shoving range is exclusivly thin, say QQ+ and possibly AKs in fact probs defo AKs vs me cos he knows I can 4bet for value with stuff like QQ/JJ. anyway they all fold, but turning ur hand into a 4bet bluff essentially is a highly +EV play here because of how far ahead of shortstackers range I am + all the dead money in the pot. obv I fold to shoves from Chris and NIT and if the spewy guy shoves which would be mega leveling since he called out of turn then i probs just sigh call it off.

Vs a very competant opponent this move would probably not work because I polorise my hand completly on the end to BLUFF or 9x. someone smart would proabbly figure out its a bluff more often than a 9x because not too many 9x’s in my range 3barrel 3 streets – altho vs beter play a better line is to c/back flop then pot or raise the turn. Anyway i had his range here exclusivley as Jx and he is a calling station so overbet was the best way off this hand. I was satisifed this was a profitable move because I dont think he has a9 ever here and he call off 1/2 pair so infrequently. OBV i reveak the bvluff fo future levelling lol….]=and i didnt have to wait long!

Most hands online lately have been pretty brutal and un-interesting so will do some hand analysis of some interesting ones when and if they ever come up!
On IRL news finnally sold my % in one of those fish and chips shops got gd price so hopefully have that money soon b4 i go skint again!
My oil 1p shares are flying up and down and making me fuck all money CMON oil 1TIME!!!!!!!!! Been out for a ton of great meals lately and enjoyed a nice run in the dinner flips only loosing 1/5 and a pretty tame £77 one when i lost it! went for thai for the first time with rob the other day and it was really really nice, cant remember the name of the place but will try! Rob claimed in the last dinnner flip that he thinks “seasoned gamblers” have a minor EV edge in a coin flip on just gut insticnt (???) so he claimed that by having the coin waiting on the thumb to flip, then after iv called reversing it neatrilises this edge and tips it slightly in the flippers favour…this was immeadiatly proved as i called for tails and afgter reversal it lands heads. Now whether this is true or not he has created some pre=flip levelling wars where he might try to level me into backing against my instinct in a flip and not reversing the coin – or i might expect him to and go with instinct anyway, but then he might expect me to that and till reverse it….or maybe its just a fkin cionflip but hey its all fun!
On this subject going out for a nice meal now with an old friend so wish you all GL and gonna try coe to the club with Jamie 2mro for the £10triple!
