The new record for a live tournament win by a Nutz player was set on Sunday evening (Jan 24th 2009) by 'have a go pro' Jamie Sykes. He finished 3rd in the Bolton GUKPT Main Event for a juicy £19,000 prize, his best live cash and a great follow up to his £11,000 2nd place in the Coral British Masters Leeds event 2008.

Mark 'The Shark' Boyle was crowned after beating the best of the best in the end of season Championship tournament.

After fighting so long with a relatively short stack, Mark hit a rich seam of cards at the perfect time, taking home the Champion trophy and title.

Once again the ShootOut is won by a relative newcomer, this year Dave Grayson took the silverware.

Dave was understandably delighted that his first Nutz tournament win was this prestigious trophy tournament.

Mick 'The Destroyer' Connon earned his nickname with bulldozing aggression from the start of the season.

During the year Mick claimed most hits (173), most money finishes (31), most top 3 placings (21) and most wins (9), deservedly fighting off a strong late challenge from the reigning champion.

Ali Bannatyne won the inaugural Nutz Superstars league event. His consistency in the league matches, with two 2nds a 3rd and a 4th, gave him third largest starting stack at the final table and eventually a comprehensive victory.

Ali also Captained 'Red Eye' to the first Super6 Team Championship title.

2009 DTD Anniversary Cup; 8th

Stalwart Nutz regular 'Big Dave' capped a fine run in the inaugural DTD Anniversary Cup with a Final Table finish and 8th place overall. Here's an interview by the Blonde Poker crew ... about 10 minutes before Dave was eliminated, going home with a fantastic £10,000!!
